Product analytics that forgets your visitors. Every midnight.[1]
Proxima measures your websites and apps (page views, events, funnels, revenue, web vitals) without cookies and without keeping anything that could identify a person. Open source. Run it yourself, or let us run it.
Your visitor ID on this page today
- yesterday
- you, today
- [2]
- forgotten in
HOW IT FORGETS
- A request arrives. Proxima reads its IP address and browser string, once.
- Both are hashed with a salt that belongs to one project and one day.
- The hash becomes the visitor ID. The IP and browser string are dropped.
- At 00:00 UTC the salt is deleted. Yesterday’s visitors can’t be linked to today’s, by anyone, including us.
The database has no column for an IP address, a name or an email.[3]

QUESTIONS
Does Proxima use cookies?
No. Not for visitors, not for “functional” reasons. A visitor ID is a hash of the request, salted per project and per day, and the salt is deleted at midnight UTC.
Is it a Google Analytics alternative?
Yes. Page views, referrers, UTM channels, events, funnels and revenue, without sending your visitors’ data to an ad company.
Is it open source? Can I self-host it?
Yes. Self-hosting is a first-class mode with no billing and every feature. The hosted version is priced by hits (events, page and screen views), not seats.
When does it launch?
Early 2027. Everyone on the waitlist hears first.
What happens to my email?
It sits in one table on Cloudflare and gets used for the launch email. Nothing else: no newsletter, no tracking pixels, no sharing.

NOTES
- [1]Visitor IDs are hashed with a salt that exists for one project and one UTC day, then deleted. How it forgets. Back.
- [2]Computed for this page from your IP address and browser string with today’s salt for proxima.so, the same way Proxima does it. Shown to you, stored nowhere. Back.
- [3]The analytics schema physically cannot hold data it has no column for. Sessions derive from the rotating ID, so they rotate with it. Back.
